The stage of The X Factor USA<\/strong> has seen many things, but few moments are as heart-pounding and hilariously intense as Wesley Melson\u2019s audition! \ud83c\udfa4\u2728 If you ever needed a lesson on what pure, unadulterated admiration looks like, this is it. Wesley, a 19-year-old parts counterperson from Maryland, didn\u2019t just come to sing; he came to meet his ultimate idol, the “classy and elegant” Kelly Rowland<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the second he stepped onto the stage, it was clear that Wesley was completely starstruck. The way he looked at Kelly was so intense that Simon Cowell couldn’t help but compare him to a hungry dog staring at a steak! \ud83e\udd69\ud83d\ude02 Wesley described singing in front of Kelly as a “dream in itself,” and he spent his pre-performance moments gushing about her smile, her hair, and her grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wesley chose to sing “Wanted” by Hunter Hayes<\/strong>, and the transformation was incredible. \ud83c\udfb6 Despite his nerves and his laser-focus on Kelly, he delivered a performance that proved he wasn’t just a superfan\u2014he actually had the vocal chops to back it up. As he sang lyrics like “I want to make you feel wanted,”<\/em> he directed every word straight at Kelly, making the performance both impressively soulful and slightly “creepy” in the most endearing way possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The judges’ feedback was a mix of praise and playful warnings. Demi Lovato summed it up perfectly, saying he went from “creepy to cute” the moment he started singing.Simon, ever the critic, warned him that he looked like he was going to “eat” Kelly and advised him to take a “very long cold shower” before his next performance! \ud83d\udebf\ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the end, Wesley\u2019s passion and talent won them over. With four enthusiastic “Yes” votes, including one from a very flattered Kelly Rowland, Wesley moved on to the next round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
